Project Description

UI creation and back-end development for a software delivery platform to supply an MVP with strict adherence to the client's budget and timeline requirements.

Client info

AuditDeploy is a software company based in Atlanta, US that develops a software delivery platform to simplify and secure complex software deployments across complex hybrid, multi-cloud environments.

Challenge

The Client was in the early stages of product development and was looking to accelerate the development process with external resources to deliver an MVP. Thus, AuditDeploy contacted us with clear requirements and expectations on task completion time and budget.

Business requirements:

Use the existing API/backend versions to refresh the MVP’s UI;
Collaborate closely with the Company’s founders in order to align the project's goals with their vision and requirements;
Maintain the project’s cost-effectiveness;
Support existing security protocols provided by the Client.

Problems revealed during the development:

Most designs for the UI were not ready before the project start;
As not all users are familiar with the command line interface, it was required to find a solution to send real-time streaming data from GitHub, GitLab and a local development environment.

Solution

Info-Polus has established the process and an open channel for communication with the Company's founders, ensuring alignment of project goals and efficient decision-making. The bucket usage was not effective for database query, that is why the team had to switch to the Rest API approach to handle the flow of data. In addition, the team of developers added the ability to send email to users to process authentication flow. Besides, Info-Polus’ senior developers and testers were responsible for beta testing of the project. The team of software engineers kept development cost-effective and within the requested timeline.

The following was done

New design and UI for the dashboard was created and implemented;
Authentication flow for users was implemented;
Rest API approach for database query was switched to;
Webhook logic to stream data fast from GitHub was realized.
