Ongoing maintenance as well as new features development of software with AI and ML capabilities, providing a streamlined financial management solution for accountants, managers, and businesses across the globe via an intuitive online interface.

Swiss product company that develops personalized software to simplify accounting and finance management for clients worldwide.

Challenge

The Client sought a seasoned team for the seamless management and growth of their expansive project. This involved enhancing software features, ensuring its ongoing reliability, and a cloud system migration.

Business requirements:

Hire an experienced team to successfully hand over large-scale project for its maintenance and development;
Refine the software features, ensure its continued functionality;
Migrate to AWS S3.

Problems revealed during the development:

Knowledge transfer from previous developers was necessary due to the lack of proper documentation;
The project required an awareness of the intricacies of Swiss financial regulations and an understanding of the formulas for calculating invoices, taxes, etc.;
Because of tasks volume growth it was necessary to effectively expand the team with qualified developers;
Due to the large-scale nature of the project, problems with linked modules periodically occur;
A solution was required to ensure business logic’s smooth running.

Solution

Our experienced senior developers took over the project, performing in-depth code reviews and fostering collaboration with prior teams. The following was done

The Expenses Module was developed from scratch including other modules' connection, access permission system development, and UI. The VAT system was connected and the back-end was built. This module allows users to declare expenses and generate the information into invoice;
Ongoing maintenance was implemented with periodical updates of libraries (Bootstrap, Immutable, Intl, Konva, Lodash, Redux, Reselect, Superagent, Tether) versions (each 3 months);
Occurring problems with linked modules by point-by-point recreation of them using SQL Server Profiler were completely fixed;
Autotests to ensure the business logic’s smooth work 24/7 were developed and run.
